Macarena is, after all, a woman like any other...and a woman like no other. From her infancy, she learnt the importance of being a caring individual, someone who would give love, acceptance and a vow of confidence to all those around her --but most important, to her kids. She knew that a person who is raised with love and values, will be a happy, full, thorough individual. "I never allowed anger to settle in at my house or office", she says. "When my kids got into an argument, or were angry for some reason, I used to tell them, 'Take it outside'. They were not allowed to come back into the house while they were angry. They had to cool off first. Anger is a type of energy -just a negative one. I taught them not to let that into our space, because just like laughter, it is contagious".

She believes in positive energy, and that is why she tries to surround herself with positive people - one of the main reasons she got involved in Tevebiography as the show's feature Host. "The Rules of Engagement are very important to me. Basically, I believe you do all things for others as you would wish to have done to you. We all know Karma comes back, and I choose only GOOD Karma!", she exclaims. That is why she always lends a hand whenever she can, why she has faith and spirit, why she wakes up thinking everyday will be a "Happy Day".

For a person who has relocated to a different world, who has raised her kids (both naturally and adopted) on her own, and who has battled a difficult illness, she has the charm and happiness that might give the impression that she has had the easiest, most convenient life. But her peace of spirit and her big smile come from someone who has understood that what really matters is to live every day like a gift - because it actually is.
